Front air bags, the wonderful life saving equipment have now become a standard for all cars. Of course, you may be having car insurance but prevention is always a better option. The experts behind this safety device didn’t stop there; they have now introduced side air bags. Hurray! Driving has become much safer now.

Google is at it again..It’ll be driving your vehicle now!!

Yes, you heard it right – Google’s latest project is self driving autos. Now, the first thought that flashed my mind was how would insurance work on self driving autos? I caught up with some of the insurance market experts and had their views over insurance market and how van insurance from Staveley Head would work if indeed the project turns out to be a success.

Google is currently testing this project on Toyota Priuses which are driving through city traffic, mountain terrains, and busy highways and have covered over 190,000 miles with occasional human intervention. The project is not yet ready commercially, but Google has demonstrated the system on driverless golf carts on its campus. Continue reading

Why America Should Reduce Gasoline Usage?

America, the world’s leading gas guzzling nation, has finally started shrinking on the usage of gasoline. The government mandates ethanol fuel, but is that ethanol less pollutant than gasoline? Definitely Not!!!

Experts foretell that the use of gasoline will be reduced by 20 percent by 2030, even though millions of vehicles will clog the US roads. No doubt the new vehicles are more fuel efficient and eco-friendly (in case of green vehicles); but, I don’t understand the government stress on using ethanol fuel. Continue reading
